Pedro Bermudez is a filmmaker working at the intersection of cinema, theater and immersive media. He has produced documentary work for Connecticut Public Television, and has collaborated closely with arts & cultural institutions in the Hartford region; the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art and The Center for Leadership & Justice among them. His most recent work, Cuatro Bailes, was an immersive installation that explored Puerto Rican identity in Hartford and on the island, and had its debut at the Bushnell Performing Arts Center. Bermudez co-directed a live-streamed production of The Sound Inside, with Theaterworks Artistic Director Rob Ruggiero that was featured in The New York Times. He received his MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute, where he was the recipient of the Petrie Award for excellence. He is the owner of Revisionist, a production company based in Hartford, and has worked with a range of commercial clients including Nike and international non-profit BuildOn. He is currently an Assistant Professor of the Practice of Video & Audio Production at Wesleyan University.
